Darlene and Tim Lusher opened Southside Automotive in Anderson in June of 2007. They were referred to the East Central SBDC by National City Bank. The ISBDC business advisor helped the Lushers measure the productivity of their labor, gain control of their parts inventory and get the bookkeeping system set up so they could make more educated business decisions. They developed a cash positive operation and are now writing their business plan to purchase their building and land. They appear on pace to grow their operations to add another three full time employees.
According to Tim Lusher, “The SBDC helped with bookkeeping, managing cash and even more. These guys really know their stuff. Without their assistance we would be extinct.”
